A Shijima story appears in a retail version in Asia

No surprise that The Centennial Case: A Shijima Story only appears digitally in the West. The mix of live action scenes and detective adventure is an unusual and not particularly popular genre mix.

However, if you like these kinds of games, you will be happy with the commercial version from Asia. In Japan, The Centennial Case is published in all available languages, including German. The Asian retail version will probably also offer all languages, but Play-Asia cannot confirm that yet.

The game is directed by Koichiro Ito (Metal Gear Solid V, 428: Shibuya Scramble) and produced by Junichi Ehera (NieR: Automata). In substance, you deal with the fate-ridden Shijima family, who have suffered a series of unexplained deaths over the course of a century.

Players take on the role of crime writer Haruka Kagami and use their talent for deduction to uncover the truth behind the murders committed in the Shijima household over the past hundred years. Discover the truth and identify the culprit in this approachable detective story.

The screenplay director is Yasuhito Tachibana, the producer of the Netflix series The Naked Director. Nanami Sakuraba takes on the role of protagonist Haruka Kagami. Yuta Hiraoka is Eiji Shijima, the second son of the Shijima family, who returns home to unravel the mystery of his family’s fate.
