After announcing the date and story trailer in March, a new gameplay video is out today Gotham Knights Get on. Game Director Geoff Ellenor tells you what to expect for Gotham fans in over 13 minutes.
For the first time, the new video provides “better insight into the two playable characters Nightwing and Red Hood, who keep law and order in Gotham City while seeking clues related to the mysterious Council of Owls”.
Different fighting techniques are covered and you see movement options in the open game world. Check out Nightwing’s acrobatic fighting style and Red Hood’s dual weaponry.
The game tells an original story in DC’s Batman universe and aims to provide a dynamic and interactive Gotham City where – of course – crime rates have skyrocketed. Four superheroes must provide playful variety.
You should have a next-gen console by October 25, 2022. Because from now on Gotham Knights should no longer be released for PS4 and Xbox One. Today’s announcement only mentions PS5, Xbox series and PCs. In the fine print it says:
Note: In order to provide players with the best gameplay experience possible, the game will be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC and therefore not available for PlayStation 4 or Xbox One consoles.
In addition to the standard edition, there is also a digital deluxe edition for €94.99 with some DLCs and a physical Gotham Knights Collector’s Edition for €299.99, including a diorama with four character statues.
