In Bloodborne-esque Thymesia, defend yourself against critical hits with feathers

Recent articles

Publisher Team17 and developer OverBorder Studio have released a new gameplay video for the indie action RPG Thymesia released. Most recently it has been about dodging, parrying and an elite opponent. Today it’s about the feathers, which you can throw like daggers.

Allows you to fend off and counter critical attacks. These are announced by a green line, conventional parries do not work here. You can use skill points to extend your spring attacks in different directions, depending on your play style.

Inspired by Bloodborne with a twist

The project is inevitably reminiscent of Bloodborne. The scenery, the moves – dodging, waiting, attacking – a lot reminiscent of the heavy original. But Thymesia also offers its own twist. Your weapons are metamorphosed diseases.

At the center of the story is Corvus, a mysterious character. Of course he is mysterious. He is able to seize diseases from enemies and use them as weapons against them.

Perfect saves, dynamic dodges and wild offensive skills are still needed to defeat your enemies. Players can also customize Corvus’ stats to optimize their playstyle.

Thymesia is slated for a August 9 release for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PCs, there are also German lyrics.
