NIS America has announced that: Yomawari: Lost in the Dark will release in the West next fall for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Steam. The horror adventure is in Japan as Yomawari 3 known. It was released in Japan in April.
In search of memories, terrifying encounters await in the city. Despite some new elements, the atmosphere remains with the predecessors.
Explore the night city
The main character wanders through the city at night in search of forgotten memories. After waking up in a dark forest, a shapeless creature tells her she is under a heavy curse. Now it’s a matter of breaking through the memories that are scattered across the city.
Ghosts, however, lurk in the dark. Using a flashlight and a heartbeat, the first task is to escape them. But you can also throw stones to distract the opponent, for example. Running away is of course also a good option. At least until you run out of stamina. Another way out is to close your eyes. Then the ghosts lose sight of the main character. But the terrifying presence is still there. So when the time comes, you have to flee.
Places that can be freely explored include a school, a rural area with rice fields, and a doll’s house in a bamboo forest
