Netmarble Notes on Blockchain Plans

Recent articles

Just in time with the release of Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds Netmarble’s blockchain plans also became known in the west. Bad publicity for the game, you might guess. Fans reacted accordingly to the plans on social networks. Some have deleted the game right awayothers installed not at all first.

The mood is quite clear. Netmarble has noticed this of course and gives the new dev update at least a comment about that. The short form: You understand the concerns of the fans, but stick to the plans.

“We understand that there are some questions about using games to earn tokens in Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds. Our goal is to create an environment where players can fully explore the wonderful world of Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds, and we believe the token economy is one way to achieve that.” by Netmarble.

All optional

“There are two types of special currencies available in the game. They can be used to upgrade your characters, or they can be exchanged for tokens that can be used outside of the game.” That means: optional. “Users have full control over how the tokens are used and players can access all of the in-game content. experience without the intervention of the token economy or blockchain technology.”

Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds aims to “provide many different ways” to pass the time. “The inclusion of the token system is just one of many options,” says Netmarble. “If you don’t want to get involved in that part of the game, that’s totally fine,” they promise. “We want you to find your own way to play and have fun in this magical world.”

Even if it does, the damage has been done well. Or are you at ease? Have you watched Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds yet or are you planning to?
