The Digital Government Authority has released the first interim license package for digital government business to three companies, which are “Alam for Information Security”, “Takamol for Business Services” and “Thiqa”, to develop and operate 15 digital government platforms existing and products.

The Digital Government Authority said in a statement today Monday that the list of platforms and products included “Wasl”, “Naql”, “Maritime Transport”, “Tajeer”, “Washaj” and “Drones” for Elm Company. And “Ajir”, “Quwa”, “Musaned” and “Tannah” for the company Takamul, as well as “Etimad”, “Saber”, “Ehkam”, “Al-Muwathiq” and “Sedr” for the company “Thiqa” . “.

These platforms and products are affiliated with 10 entities, namely the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, the Ministry of Justice, the General Authority for Food and Drugs, the Authority of Public Transport, the Organization for standards, Saudi metrology and quality, the General Authority for State Real Estate, the National Center for Government Resource Systems, the National Center for Nonprofit Sector Development, and the Saudi Union for Cyber ​​Security, Programming and drones.

Noting that the number of transactions carried out through these platforms and products has exceeded 53 million per year and these transactions have helped improve access to services for individual beneficiaries and the business sector.

For its part, said the Governor of the Digital Government Authority; Ing. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Suwayan; The granting of these licenses takes place in order to achieve the authority’s objectives and perform its functions, as these interim licenses are one of the results of the “Experimental Regulatory Environment for Digital Government Business” initiative launched by the authority in November 2021, through that the authority seeks to increase the efficiency and quality of digital platforms and ensure business continuity by regulating property rights for government digital platforms and products, governance of the data sharing mechanism and pricing of services provided through them, in order to help improve the investment environment to support entrepreneurs, strengthen the partnership between the public and private sectors and accelerate the growth of the digital economy, in order to reach the strategic directions of digital governance and the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

The authority explained that these efforts are the result of joint work with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies and the Commission for Communications and Information Technologies.

The authority is the competent authority for everything related to digital governance, and the national reference in its affairs, in addition to its competence to issue measurements, indicators, tools and reports. To measure the performance and capabilities of government agencies in the field of digital governance and the beneficiary’s satisfaction with it, the authority has undertaken a number of initiatives that help improve the efficiency of government performance and provide highly efficient digital services.
