The sci fi shooter contempt is scheduled to release on October 21, 2022 for the Xbox Series and PC. Developer Ebb Software announced this during the Xbox & Bethesda Showcase.
The title, which is very reminiscent of the Alien franchise in style, should be playable immediately in Game Pass at launch. In addition to the release date, there was also a brand new gameplay trailer to admire.
This is what the horror game has to offer
The whole environment and every encounter in the game tells its own specific story and draws you deeper into the world of Scorn. While the creatures – who inhabit the sticky, organic passages – are initially barely aware of the humanoid presence, they can quickly become hostile if you cross their path.
The developers promise an “emotionally thrilling and atmospherically incredibly compact” first-person horror adventure. Scorn lures players into a claustrophobic underworld dominated by mutated organic forms and unknown liquids.
Players will be all alone in this world and will have to listen to their senses and instincts to find their way. The “environment itself” is a character, according to the developers. And will do their part to upset the player. Each place tells its own story and has its own riddles ready.
