In a new interview with the Japanese website 4gamers Elden Ring director Hidetaka Miyazaki has stated that an upcoming game from FromSoftware is in its final stages of development. In 2018, Miyazaki explained in another interview that there were several projects in development at the time.

The magazine asked Miyazaki if any of those games were still in the works. “Yes, it is. We are in the final stages of development,” replied Hidetaka Miyazaki. In 2018, Miyazaki said the studio was working on “three and a half” games. Half of the game was the PSVR title Déraciné. Another title was called Sekiro, another known as Elden Ring. One last game.

Elden Ring was not announced at the time, and Hidetaka Miyazaki said the two unannounced games would be a good fit for FromSoftware. Souls fans shouldn’t hope for too much though. It is currently rumored to be Armored Core 6.

Anyway, it may be a while before the game comes out. We’ve known that at the latest since Final Fantasy XVI, which is currently in its final stages of development, but won’t be released until Summer 2023.
