Finally there is an official list of exhibitors from the organizer

The list of exhibitors at Gamescom 2022 has been kept secret for a long time this year. It was difficult to put together who is actually there after the first denials had descended.

Now Gamescom 2022 is finally kicking off. “Top international companies” are there. More than 500 registered companies in total. Of course, not all classic video game publishers are. But the list is still long. A selection:

2K, 505 Games, Aerosoft, Amazon Web Services, AMD, Assemble Entertainment, astragon Entertainment, Bandai Namco, BenQ, Daedalic Entertainment, ESL Gaming, GIANTS Software, HandyGames, HoYoverse, Humble Games, HyperX, Kalypso Media Group, Koch Media, KRAFTON , Level Infinite (Tencent), MEDION, Neowiz, Netease Games, Pico Interactive Pte., Raw Fury, Razer, Samsung, SEGA Europe, SteelSeries, TaleWorlds Entertainment, Team17, THQ Nordic, Thunderful, TikTok, Ubisoft, Warner Bros. Games, Western Digital, Xbox and Xsolla.

However, we painfully note that in addition to already known cancellations such as Nintendo and Sony PlayStation, Konami, Koei Tecmo, Capcom or Square Enix (only in the Merchandise Hall) are also missing. Electronic Arts is also missing – a publisher for the breadth.

However: Koch Media represents a company that has already released many games in this country together with Koei Tecmo or Square Enix. For that you have to wait for the line-ups. Square Enix in particular would really have a lot to offer this year.

Of course, the industry association in the person of Felix Falk has an explanation for the unwarranted absence of publishers: “Delayed game developments, higher costs and uncertainties with international travel are just three reasons why some games companies are not represented in Cologne again this year. be able to. But that does not alter the fact that Gamescom will once again be an absolute highlight and that visitors will have an unforgettable experience in store.”
