China today launched the Tianlian II-03 satellite from the Xichang satellite launch center in southwest China’s Sichuan province.
The satellite will provide data and telemetry, tracking and command services for manned spacecraft and low and medium orbit resource satellites and will support the telemetry, tracking and command services required for spacecraft launches.
Tianlian II-03 is the second generation of China’s geosynchronous data transmission satellite.
