With June 30, 2022, Nintendo has closed another fiscal quarter, and as always, there’s also a look at the best-selling first-party games for Nintendo Switch – and something more.
For example, we learn that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe again sold 1.48 million copies in the past quarter. Figures that many a game dreams of – a lifetime. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe reaches it in three months, years after its release. The game, of course, remains at the top of the top 10.
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – 46.82 million
- Animal Crossing: New Horizons – 39.38 million
- Super Smash Bros. Ultimate – 28.82 million
- Zelda: Breath of the Wild – 27.14 million
- Pokémon Sword and Shield – 24.50 million
- Super Mario Odyssey – 23.93 million
- Super Mario Party – 18.06 million
- Pokémon Sinnoh Remakes – 14.79 Million
- Pokemon Let’s Go – 14.66 million
- Ring Fit Adventure – 14.54 million
There are no position changes compared to the last quarter. Pokémon Sword and Shield can’t get past Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The Sinnoh remakes and Let’s Go nibble at 15 million copies each.
So far good. More of a surprise: Pokémon legends Arceus still aren’t part of the top 10 this quarter. When will the Ring Fit Adventure catch up?
Because first-party titles sell so well that even the most popular new releases often don’t get recorded right away, Nintendo, as always, has released a few songs as well:
- Nintendo Switch Sports – 4.84 million
- Kirby and the Forgotten Land – 4.53 million
- Mario Strikers: Battle League Football – 1.91 Million
The Kirby songs in particular manage to impress. According to Nintendo, it is the fastest-selling Kirby in the history of the series. And probably the best-selling soon. Only Kirby’s Dream Land is ahead of Kirby and the Forgotten Land with 5.13 million.
