Elden Ring Patch Notes 1.06 Update Today on August 09, 2022

An update has been made available for Elden Ring Version 1.06. The new Game Update includes Bug Fixes, enhancements, and Patch Notes details. Elden Ring Update 1.06 is downloadable now on all platforms, such as PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, and PC. The file size may vary by platform.

Key Additions

  • Function to send summoning signs to various summoning pools in multiple regions, including long distances.

※This feature excludes summoning pools in “Mohgwyn Palace” when sending a co-op sign to distant areas.

  • Ability to invade a larger area, including far-off places
  • New progression method for White Mask Varre’s questline, involving defeating a new NPC aside from multiplayer invasion participation.

Adjustments for Balance

  • Changes made to Greatsword, Curved Greatsword, and Great Hammers:
  • Reduction in the time it takes for rolling to be available after an attack (excluding Jump attack, dual wield attack, and mounted attacks)
  • Increase in motion speed for strong attack and charge attack (excluding mounted attacks)
  • Enhancement in Guard Counter’s motion speed
  • Acceleration in the attack speed of Great Axes and reduction in the time for rolling after an attack (excluding Jump attack, dual wield attack, and mounted attacks)
  • Increased rolling distance for players with a light equip load.
  • Expansion of Cipher Pata’s weapon skill “Unblockable Blade” hitbox
  • Extended range of Ash of War “Glintstone Pebble” and “Glintstone Dart” projectiles while decreasing damage and stagger power
  • Decrease in travel distance and invincibility frames of Ash of War “Bloodhound Step” with the following changes:

・Decreased performance if used continuously

・Increased travel distance for light equip load

  • Reduced activation interval for successive use of “Quick Step” skill, improving its ability to maneuver around the enemy when locked on with the following modifications:

・Decreased performance if used continuously

・Increased travel distance for light equip load

  • Reduced damage and bleed build-up of weapon skill “Corpse Piler” from blood attacks. Blade hits slightly decrease damage only
  • Diminished target tracking ability of sorcery “Stars of Ruin”

Rectified Bugs

  • Fixed issue causing some attacks of “Lucerne” to not penetrate enemy guards
  • Resolved challenge with two-handed jump attack using “Bloodhound’s Fang” to break enemy stances
  • Corrected problem where effects of “Determination” and “Royal Knight’s Resolve” vanished after using “Parry” skill with a dagger
  • Addressed concern when dual wielding Axe and Greataxe, where additional effects from Spells, Weapon Skills, and Items were not applied correctly
  • Fixed issue with two-handing a Halberd which made it difficult to endure enemy attacks after using guard counter
  • Rectified discrepancy in the physical attack affinity of certain weapons compared to their description
  • Eliminated bug causing player to be easily detected by enemies while wearing “Deathbed Dress”, even while crouching
  • Corrected error that allowed charge attack with a flail to harm ally character while wearing “Deathbed Dress”
  • Fixed bug where HP would regenerate upon switching equipment to certain armor types
  • Resolved issue where weapon effect from “Mists of Slumber” would disappear when player received an attack
  • Fixed instability in playable character’s movement after hitting specific enemies with “Ghostflame Ignition” skill
  • Fixed scenario where player couldn’t execute “The Queen’s Black Flame” skill’s follow-up attack due to insufficient FP
  • Corrected flaw in weapon skill “Zamor Ice Storm” that made player more resilient against enemy attacks with insufficient FP
  • Addressed bug causing spells and items effects linked to right-hand armament to activate using certain weapon skills with the left hand
  • Rectified discrepancy in FP consumption description of specific weapon skills compared to actual FP cost
  • Eliminated bug where “Rock Blaster” didn’t consume any FP when used with a staff in the left hand and no weapon in the right hand
  • Fixed issue where charged variant of “Black Flame Ritual” consumed same stamina as normal version
  • Resolved issue where player received less HP recovery from incantations and items besides “Flask of Crimson Tears” when activating “Malenia’s Great Rune” effect
  • Corrected bug where “Opaline Hardtear” didn’t enhance physical damage negation
  • Addressed bug preventing player from mid-air jumping under specific conditions
  • Fixed case where jump attack with Colossal Weapons while mounted struck twice consecutively
  • Resolved issue where some signs appeared more than once in the Summoning Pool
  • Corrected bug causing some weapon skill attack effects to persist under certain circumstances
  • Addressed bug causing significant performance problems at “Ordina, Liturgical Town” under specific circumstances
  • Fixed issue preventing player from retrieving dropped Runes upon death under certain circumstances
  • Eliminated bug allowing users to access specific inaccessible areas during multiplayer
  • Addressed bug causing multiplayer area boundaries to differ from expectations
  • Fixed problem where some enemies displayed incorrect visuals and behaviors
  • Resolved issue of incorrect sounds playing under specific circumstances
  • Fixed bug causing player to be immobilized in some areas leading to death
  • Resolved issue of incorrect visuals and hitboxes in some map locations
  • Addressed issue in certain maps allowing access to unexpected locations through specific procedures
  • Fixed PC version bug involving click input when equipping Staves or Sacred Seals and switching Windows to active
  • Various performance enhancements and bug fixes

Miscellaneous

  • Added “ERROR” text to unauthorized items
