The free additions Mash Kyrielight and Neco-Arc for Melty Blood: Type Lumina appear along with an update on August 19. But that is not everything. Fans can also look forward to two phases, new color variants, a scenario and Boss Rush 2.

Mash Kyrielight fights with a large shield, which she can use to block and pressure the opponent. It is also suitable for beginners. Neco-Arc, on the other hand, is described as a unique character with random abilities that fuel battle. Luck is crucial to victory.

The other two characters arrive in the winter. All new fighters are free. There is also a character story and a stage.

Tsukihime calls for 2D battles

Melty Blood: Type Lumina is based on the world of Tsukihime: A Piece of Blue Glass Moon, Type-Moon’s visual novel. A remake of this game was released in Japan.

The story of Melty Blood: Type Lumina is written by Kinoko Nasu and Takashi Takeuchi contributes to the character design. All playable characters, of course, have unique moves and attacks. There are single player modes such as Story, Time Attack and Survival. In survival mode, you have to see how many opponents you can defeat with just one life energy meter.

Melty Blood: Type Lumina was released worldwide on September 30, 2021 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC Steam. Distribution in the West is purely digital.
