D3 Publisher used the Tokyo Game Show 2022 to present the action game with a focus on sword fighting Samurai Maiden for PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and Steam starting December 8. Japan is up a week earlier and unlike the West it will get a physical release. Developer is Shade (Bullet Girls, Kandagawa Jet Girls, Gun Gun Pixies).
The game was also extensively shown at TGS 2022. In addition to a trailer, D3 Publisher also held a livestream with gameplay. The trailer explains the Sengoku period to you in case you have any gaps in your knowledge.
The main role is taken by high school student Tsumugi Tamaori, who is transported to the Sengoku period. There, she must team up with new friends and prove her sword skills against an undead threat. By her side is none other than Nobunaga Oda. Also playable are Iyo, a ninja, Hagane, a mechanical ninja, and Komimi, who is described as a genius.
Tsumugi can combine her skills with her three companions in battle. When special conditions are met, a kiss can unleash special attacks.
