Apple: prices will rise – Al-Madina newspaper

Apple has announced that it will raise its App Store prices across Europe and some Asian markets next month due to the weakness of the currency market against the US dollar.

The price increases will affect purchases within the Apple Store starting October 5. All countries using the euro, Sweden, South Korea, Chile, Egypt, Malaysia, Pakistan, Vietnam and Japan will be affected by the price increase. Most euro markets will see prices rise from € 0.99 to € 1.19 next month, an increase of 20%.

In Japan, the increase was more than 30%, with the yen falling to a 24-year low against the US dollar.

Apple’s stock is clearly driven by currency fluctuations impacted by inflation and rising energy costs. Reuters reported that Apple periodically adjusts its App Store prices due to currency fluctuations and has already reduced the price of the base app from € 1.09 to € 0.99 last year. The changes in Apple Store pricing come just weeks after the company raised the prices of the iPhone 14 and Apple Watch Series 8 models in many markets outside the United States.
