At the Tokyo Game Show, Square Enix showed an overview trailer Romancing SaGa: Minstrel Song Remastered. The English version is now also available, which we don’t want to withhold from you.
The overview trailer covers the innovations of the remaster, including improved bosses, newly arranged music, a turbo mode, a new game plus mode, as well as new characters, classes, events and an improvement to the user interface.
It is a remaster of the PS2 remake of the original Romancing SaGa that was once released for Super Famicom. The remake of the time has already been expanded and improved with a whole host of features, “including HD optics, refined gameplay and even brand new content”.
Romancing SaGa: Minstrel Song Remastered keeps everything that made the original a great game. For example, it features the unique ‘Glimmer’ and ‘Combo’ systems, which allow characters to learn fantastic new skills in the heat of battle. It includes the beautiful illustrations of the original and also has the beautiful soundtrack by composer Kenji Ito.
Good for us Europeans as the game has not yet been released in Europe. The PS2 remake was released once in North America. The new remaster of the remake will be released on December 1 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, PC Steam and mobile devices.
