Two DLC characters from the most recent theatrical release of Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero revealed in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2.
Two additional DLC characters for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 were announced, based on the most recent theatrical installment of the franchise, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero. Over six years after Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2’s initial release, Dimps and Bandai Namco maintain the title. Due to the considerable post-launch support, many characters and skills were introduced after the game’s release, including the player’s ability to access Ultra Instinct.
Additionally, Bandai Namco said that the upcoming packs of DLC would be based on Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero so that post-launch support won’t end any time soon. In this film, Piccolo, Gohan, and other characters battle the Red Ribbon Army and their brand-new Android foes Gamma 1 and 2. Gamma 2 was introduced as the first character in the forthcoming Hero of Justice Pack Set for Xenoverse 2 earlier in September. The final two members of the first pack are revealed in a new trailer.
An edited version of the first trailer, which shows off Gamma 2’s skills and moveset versus Piccolo, opens the trailer. Following Gamma 2’s debut, Gamma 1 flies in and shows off his moves and how he differs from his sibling. Gamma 1 uses his blaster and a barrage of kicks in his strikes, with one super move shooting a focused energy beam at his foe.
Piccolo is seen on the ropes at the end of the trailer, obviously outmatched against the two Androids. The Z-Warrior is on the verge of dying when Gohan, flying in to assist, shouts out to him. With untidy hair and glasses, Gohan’s appearance in Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is the inspiration for this variation. The teaser notes that this version of the character is dubbed “Gohan (DBS Super Hero)” to distinguish him from the other incarnations of the character in the game. Once he enters the fight, he exhibits his Ultimate Gohan transformation talent and his set of powers against Gamma 1.
The three characters are confirmed for the first DLC Pack after the trailer, with this Fall as the only release date. Fans speculate that the second portion of this pack will include the inclusion of Gohan and Piccolo’s most recent movie transformations. However, there is no set release date for it either. While some people are happy that the movie is reflected in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, others believe that the game has reached its peak and that a third game would be more appropriate.
Available now on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One are Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2.
