Ant-Man came out in 2015, and Ant-Man and the Wasp came out in 2018. Paul Rudd, who has been Sexiest Man Alive for the past two years, will play the title character in the upcoming Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantum Mania.
The movie was first discussed in 2019, and since then, we’ve learned much more about what to expect. The sequel will be the first movie of Phase Five of the MCU, and it will also introduce Kang the Conqueror, who will be the “next big cross-movie villain” for the MCU.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania Trailer?

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania Plot
Set after the events of Avengers: Endgame, when Scott is trying to get back to his life and get used to being famous again after helping defeat Thanos, Hank, and Janet, Scott and Hope’s parents, are exploring the farthest reaches of the Quantum Realm, a sort of “secret” universe where strange new creatures and Marvel’s newest villain, Kang the Conquerer, live. Because of what Kang wants and how he seems willing to break the known laws of physics to get it, Scott and his family will have to fight off dangers that could make the Infinity Saga look like a square dance. Jimmy Woo from WandaVision is also expected to return after his time on Disney+ dealing with the Scarlet Witch and how she changed reality.
Quantumania looks like it will answer questions about what happened to Ghost in the second Ant-Man movie and what happened to the Pym particles in the first movie. But don’t think the second movie will mention that Cassie was replaced. (Emma Fuhrmann played a role in an Endgame scene that was cut, but Newton will now play it.
Who is Directing Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania?
The film is being directed by Peyton Reed, who previously helmed the first two Ant-Man films.
Who else do you think you’ll see?
When fans saw the popular M.O.D.O.K. in the Quantumania teaser at Comic-Con this year, it was like they all lost their minds. Even though he wasn’t in the new trailer.
The villain with the big head was voiced by Patton Oswalt in an animated version of himself on his Hulu show. When he comes to the MCU, he looks different than he did in the comics. But M.O.D.O.K keeps his big head, and his signature head beam. The machine he uses to move himself around also makes an appearance. Here’s hoping the bad guy doesn’t just sit around and be an Easter egg.
Bill Murray also made a short appearance in the trailer, but we don’t know much about his part. We all know that he’s a villain (or at least close to one) and that he and Janet have a history together.
