Happymeal co-wrote the text adventure with Takaya Imamura OMEGA 6: The video game announced for Nintendo Switch. As the subtitle suggests, it’s an edit. In this case, OMEGA 6 is based on the manga of the same name written by Takaya Imamura.
Takaya Imamura is known for his work as the main art director, character designer and story writer for F-Zero and the Star Fox series. Imamura only turned his back on Nintendo in recent years after three decades. It has already been confirmed that OMEGA 6 will offer an English language option.
Imamura wrote characters like Fox McCloud and Falco Lombardi, as well as Tingle from the Zelda series. His designs are often based on Nintendo employees. Fox is said to be based on Shigeru Miyamoto.
The OMEGA 6 game does not follow the story of the manga, but tells a new storyline and features a cast of new characters. The heroes of the manga, Thunder and Kyla, are also there.
At its core, it should be a text adventure, but it should also offer battle scenes and unique game mechanics. Imamura takes over the artistic direction of the game, OMEGA 6 is being developed by Happymeal.
