We saw the first pictures in the spring and now Fahrenheit 213 has the project TSURUGIHIME revealed with a trailer. It is a side-scrolling action RPG scheduled for release on Steam in 2024.

You have 100 days in the game to prepare for the final battle. Lots of customization options for your own character and different endings are promised. These are based on usage over the 100 days. For example, from the start you can take on strong opponents or repeat simpler battles in the beginning. The main character is supported by his sister.

Famous names are at the start

Aniplex acquired Delightworks’ game development division in December, with street fighter mastermind Yoshinori Ono playing a key role. In return, Yosuke Shiokawa left the studio at the end of January. As creative director, he played an important role in making Fate/Grand Order such a huge success.

Shiokawa’s past with Square Enix also makes you sit up and take notice. There he was involved in well-known projects as lead planner of Kingdom Hearts II and concept director of Dissidia: Final Fantasy. After leaving Delightworks, Yosuke Shiokawa founded a new studio, Fahrenheit 213, and has now presented his new project.

The composer also makes you sit up and notice in the true sense of the word: Takeharu Ishimoto. His work includes The World Ends with You, Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy Type-0 and the brand new Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII.
