After a cycling accident in July 2022 that left Amy Grant with a concussion and hospitalization, she now has memory loss.
The 62-year-old Christian music star admitted to E! News on Saturday, “Honestly, I can’t recall what I don’t remember.”
Grant continued by telling her a story about a recent dinner date with a former high school classmate that made her realize how much she had forgotten.
“We once stayed the night at one another’s homes. Are you and your spouse still together? I asked you in an ashamed tone.” the vocalist of “Baby, Baby” stated.
It was like I had just learned that Douglas passed away seven years ago when she stated that.
Grant also admitted that she has trouble remembering the words to her songs.
The six-time Grammy winner admitted that she uses a teleprompter while attending Live at the Music Center: Concert Celebrating Jerry Moss in Los Angeles. “One exists tonight. I’m overjoyed. While on the Christmas tour, I utilized a teleprompter.”
In November 2022, only four months after the Nashville catastrophe, Grant resumed his tour.
According to the “Breath of Heaven” singer, she doesn’t recall much of the early stages of her recovery journey.
“My memory and endurance are slowly returning. Twelve to eighteen months after such an accident, “She spoke out.
Grant, who has a difficult health situation, is positive and sees the event as a “gift.”
The performer of “Simple Things” remarked, “I met someone at the airport, and they said, ‘Hey, it’s nice to see you!'” “Call me insane, I said. You must provide me with your name! Someone I knew was there.”
She then chuckled, “Everybody would welcome this defense. Everyone needs to do this. Telling the truth about what makes life simpler.”
