God of War: Ragnarok Sales Surpass 11 Million Units

On Wednesday, the studio made a Twitter announcement.

The message stated, “God of War Ragnarok has officially sold through 11 million copies. This immensely humbles us. “Thank you for traveling with us on this adventure; without your support, none of this would be possible!”

God of War Ragnarok, which debuts on November 9, 2022, is only available on the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. The game became the best-selling first-party title in PlayStation history after selling 5.1 million units in its first week of availability. The fact that it sold 11 million units in less than three months shows how well-liked Kratos, Atreus, and the God of War series are.

Sony Santa Monica’s work on God of War Ragnarok isn’t finished, even though it celebrates the game’s sales. A New Game Plus feature would be added to the game in the spring of 2023, the studio previously disclosed. The studio has yet to give a certain date, though.

When the news was initially announced, the studio stated, “We’ll provide more information as we come closer to the release.”

As for any more game content, given how Ragnarok’s narrative ended, it is unlikely. However, the only thing that is certain is that nothing is certain, according to an old proverb.
