The Madinah Region Development Authority organizes the Smart Madinah Forum 2023

The Region Development Authority is organizing the “Smart Madinah Forum” (SMF2023), in its second edition, in collaboration with the United Nations Program for Human Settlements (UN-Habitat), with the presence of over 40 speakers from more than 20 countries of the world, in the period from 19 to 21 February 2023 at the Center King Salman International Conference Center in Madinah. The forum aims to provide a free space for open discussion between the best minds from around the world to share experiences and global smart city experiences, discuss the challenges city residents and visitors face and ways to apply smart city concepts to address those challenges and Madinah’s pioneering experience towards its transformation into a smart city without compromising its Islamic identity and culture.

The topics of the forum are sustainability and smart cities, platforms for smart cities and the workshops “Sustainable development goals: a participatory society”. On these axes will revolve the discussion between a group of experts and specialists representing the most important international organizations from different countries of the world, as well as a number of internal experts from the Kingdom, representing a number of national agencies, specialized consultants, companies and technology companies transcontinental. Many representatives of authorities will also participate in the forum. Government and private companies inside and outside of Saudi Arabia.

It is worth noting that the forum will be accompanied by the opening of the “City Harmony” exhibition, as the first contemporary art exhibition of images of Saudi cities with NFT twins using blockchain technology, which will continue for one month after the end of the forum.
