Fast X, also known as Fast & Furious 10, is an upcoming American action film written by Justin Lin, Zach Dean, and Dan Mazeau and directed by Louis Leterrier. It is the tenth main installment and the eleventh full-length film in the Fast & Furious franchise, following F9 (2021). Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez, Jason Momoa, Tyrese Gibson, Jordana Brewster, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Nathalie Emmanuel, John Cena, Jason Statham, Helen Mirren, Sung Kang, Alan Ritchson, Daniela Melchior, Scott Eastwood, Charlize Theron, Brie Larson, and Rita Moreno are among the ensemble cast members of the movie.
The core actors’ involvement and Lin’s comeback as director were confirmed. Since 2014, the tenth film has been planned, and a two-part conclusion has been set for October 2020. The film’s official title became known when main photography began in April 2022. Later that month, Lin resigned as a director due to “creative issues,” but he kept his writing and producing credits. A week later, Leterrier was hired to take his place. To score the movie, veteran franchise composer Brian Tyler made a comeback. Its estimated $340 million production budget makes it the fifth-most costly movie ever. London, Rome, Turin, Lisbon, and Los Angeles served as the locations for the filming, which lasted until that August.
The American premiere of Fast X is set for May 19, 2023, thanks to Universal Pictures. Its follow-up, which will serve as the main series’ concluding chapter, is also under production.

What is the Release Date of Fast X?
At this time, May 19, 2023, is set aside for the debut of Fast X. It makes sense that we’ll be seeing the upcoming movie in cinemas unless something terrible happens because the previous movie, F9, had one of the best theatrical runs of the pandemic era.
Fast X was supposed to arrive in April 2021, but that date was moved up after F9 had numerous delays. Then scheduled for publication on April 7, 2023, it has experienced another delay. No release date for Part 2 of the film has been announced, but we’ll surely learn it soon enough.
Who is the Director of Fast X?
Louis Leterrier is a film director and producer from France. He is most known for directing the first two Transporter movies (2002-2005), The Incredible Hulk (2008), Unleashed (2005), Now You See Me (2013), Clash of the Titans (2010), and the streaming television series The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance (2019). The tenth addition in the Fast & Furious film series, Fast X, will be his latest film (2023).

What is the Plot of Fast X?
Universal’s official synopsis reads:
The road’s end is approaching. In its third decade and still going strong with the same core cast and characters as when it started, Fast X, the tenth installment in the Fast & Furious Saga, ushers in the closing chapters of one of cinema’s most legendary and well-liked global series. Dom Toretto and his family have outsmarted, out-nerved, and out-driven every adversary in their way over numerous missions and against impossible odds. They now face the deadliest foe they have ever encountered: A deadly threat is emerging from the past that is motivated by blood vengeance and is out to ruin this family and everyone Dom loves for all time. In the 2011 film Fast Five, Dom and his team killed the evil drug lord Hernan Reyes of Brazil and brought down his empire on a Rio de Janeiro bridge. They were unaware that Dante Reyes, Reyes’ son (Jason Momoa of Aquaman), saw it all and had spent the last 12 years devising a scheme to make Dom pay the ultimate price. Dante’s plot from Los Angeles will disperse Dom’s family to the Roman catacombs, Brazil to London, and Portugal to Antarctica. Old adversaries will return, and new ones will be formed. But when Dom learns that his 8-year-old son (Leo Abelo Perry, Black-ish) is the ultimate victim of Dante’s vengeance, everything changes.
Given that this is the final story, Fast X may look to the next generation of the crew, specifically Dom and Brian’s children. The film could conclude with a flash-forward showing how those children grow up to be the next great racer agents, like their parents. Jordana Brewster has also said she would like to see that in the final films.
If that’s the story’s direction, it’ll be more of a passing of the torch. And if that’s the case, we can expect the crew to have some emotional moments with their children while fighting to keep the world safe for their sake. Of course, there is still the issue of the villain.
Deckard Shaw met Han again in the final scene of F9, surprised to find him alive. Shaw and his family may again become enemies of Dom’s crew in the upcoming film. On the other hand, Cipher was still alive and on the run at the end of F9 so that she could return as the antagonist.
Fans can anticipate the family to take on yet another high-stakes mission with ridiculous action levels, regardless of who they’re up against. There’s no telling where this story will take us, so we’ll have to buckle up and enjoy the ride.
