Reddit users who enjoyed the 2018 film have debated what they hope to see in the next sequel. Reddit user EamoM2oo4 expressed hope for a main menu system that seamlessly transitions into gameplay like in Marvel’s Spider-Man demo. Spidey was seen perched high up on a building wall during the menu since the 2018 game’s demo only needed to load in a predetermined selection of playable activities and did not consider player progression. After that, it started playing as soon as the player pushed start. Fans claimed that given the alleged capabilities of the PS5, the feature ought to be more readily available. However, the concept was referred to as the “next level” by the original poster EamoM2oo4. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is anticipated for release in the fall of 2023, so fans will know right away.

I hope Spider-Man 2 does something like this with it’s opening menu. It would be next level. from SpidermanPS4

One fan has already created a fantastic mock-up of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 main menu, which has a darker tone appropriate for Venom’s appearance. Spidey is positioned so it would be conceivable, even though the fan-made menu design doesn’t directly contain a dynamic entrance straight into the action. Fans on EamoM2oo4’s post also remarked how Miles Morales experienced a similar issue while playing the game for the first time. However, the menu launched into a polished cutscene rather than transitioning onto the gameplay.

Over the years, numerous game studios have aspired to create seamless experiences. Lost Odyssey made a major impression with its well-known cutscene that transitioned directly into gameplay. Almost seamless gameplay was also used in the 2018 version of God of War. The game’s main menu did not immediately transition into gameplay. There has yet to be a PS5 game that strains the console’s hardware three years into existence. Since Hideo Kojima is notorious for getting the most out of every device he works on, Death Stranding two may showcase the PS5’s potential. Due to Insomniac’s demanding work with Sony systems, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 may offer a smooth gaming experience.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is slated to arrive on PS5 in the fall of 2023.
