The Release Date For Dead Island 2 Will Probably Be Brought Forward

The release date for Dead Island 2 has been moved up, which means if you’ve been eagerly anticipating its launch, you won’t have to wait as long.

Dead Island 2 has reached the gold status and is set to be released on Friday, April 21, as announced by the game’s Twitter account. The original release date was April 28.

The confirmation tweet reads, “You asked for it. The post reads. Dead Island 2 has gone gold and will release a week early. We’ll meet you on April 21, 2023, in HELL-A.”

Dead Island 2 has faced multiple delays since its first announcement in 2014. Yager was the original developer before Dambuster Studios took over in 2019.

Upon its release, Dead Island 2 will feature six playable characters in a “hellish depiction of LA.”

Described by Deep Silver as, “Dead Island 2 is polished, vibrant, and teeming with a zombie scourge.” “Explore the iconic, gory Los Angeles. Encounter larger-than-life personalities. Dispatch hordes of enemies in stunningly gory fashion. And become the ultimate Zombie Slayer!”

One of the game’s unique aspects is the Alexa Game Control, allowing players to set waypoints, switch weapons, provoke zombies, and more using voice commands. Alongside a three-player co-op mode and the main storyline, the game will also present a “complete RPG experience.”

Dead Island 2 will be accessible for PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One players.
