Picture-in-Picture Support for iPhone Video Calls Is Now Available Thanks to WhatsApp's Latest Update_

Previously, users had to exit WhatsApp to pause a video call, restricting their ability to use other features on their iPhones during a call.

With the new picture-in-picture support, if users navigate away from the video call, it will automatically shrink into a small window, allowing them to engage in other activities while continuing the conversation seamlessly.

WhatsApp had announced earlier that they were developing picture-in-picture compatibility to offer users greater flexibility during video calls, enabling multitasking across apps.

Picture-in-picture functionality was first introduced on the iPhone with the iOS 14 update, requiring app developers to integrate support for this feature in their apps.

Additionally, the latest version 23.3.77 update includes extended group subject and description lengths, as well as the ability to add captions to document transfers. These features will roll out gradually in the coming weeks, according to WhatsApp.
