“Win 10 Million Riyals in the ‘Biban 23’ Competitions for Entrepreneurship and Innovation”

The ‘Biban 23’ forum, organized by the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises ‘Monshaat’, announced the launch of more than 13 competitions and hackathons with prizes exceeding 10 million riyals. With the aim of motivating emerging companies to highlight entrepreneurial projects and contribute to the development and construction of innovative solutions that address different challenges, during the period to be held from 9 to 13 March 2023, at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center Through these events, the aim is to promote technical entrepreneurship, work to discover the digital skills of young men and women, develop their ideas, spread a culture of creativity and innovation, as well as commit to establish the value of the work of team and team spirit. Bringing creative ideas and new technical innovations, organizing them and working to implement them.

Awards include: Entrepreneurship World Cup Award, Prince Abdul-Ilah bin Abdulaziz Award for Entrepreneurship and Support for Productive Families, She is Next Award in partnership with Visa, KPMG Annual Competition, Launch of Women in tech competition, as well as the announcement of the annual “Innovate” award.

The competitions also include: the challenge of digitalisation of the customer experience in the real estate sector, the launch of the cybersecurity challenge in partnership with the Saudi Information Technology company “Site”, the competition of emerging companies in the field of technology, the war of robots, the “Azouma” competition and the search for a robot through the virtual world in the Intelligence centers, a programming camp and a quiz U recruitment competition of the “Aqoul” company.

Hackathons include establishment of Robotics Hackathon and Hackathon Intelligence Cyberthon, while launches include launch of Intelligence Plus, launch of Link Application, launch of Sports Innovation Lab with Al Hilal Saudi Club, launch of PT way agreement, the launch of the Saudi Post Innovation Center, the launch of the United Nations competition and the launch of the Innovation Week.

While the participating teams of entrepreneurs and emerging project owners participate in numerous training workshops, lectures, brainstorming sessions and practical exercises delivered by specialized speakers in entrepreneurship and innovation through “Biban 23”, passing through the presentation of innovative projects in competition in front of juries, experts and commercial partners, ending with the selection of the winning projects, according to specific criteria.

Interestingly, the Biban 23 forum, which will start on March 9 for a period of 5 days, attracts more than 500 entrepreneurs and brings together more than 120 enabling and supporting entities. With the aim of improving communication and enriching young people with business ideas and ways to invest them, in order to achieve one of the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 AD by bringing the contribution of small and medium-sized enterprises to GDP to 35%.
