The movies that can be found below provide an in-depth look at the game’s various maps and the gameplay of its weapons and smoke grenades.

Counter-Strike 2, which will be developed on Source 2, will have an extensive revision of the game’s aesthetics, maps, and other components. From the game’s point of view, smoke will interact with the game’s various events.

According to Valve’s description, “Bullets and HE grenades can push smoke to clear sightlines or temporarily widen occlusion.”

According to Valve, the tick rate will no longer be relevant for moving, shooting, or throwing beginning in the next patch.

“In the past, the server would only do reviews of the environment at predetermined intervals” (called ticks). According to the official website for the game, “because of Counter-Strike 2’s sub-tick update architecture, servers are aware of the precise moment that motion begins, a shot is fired, or a ‘nade is thrown.”

“As a direct consequence of this, regardless of the tick rate, the responsiveness of your movement and firing will remain the same, and the trajectory of your grenades will remain constant.”

Regarding the reworked maps, the designers at Valve employed the tools included in Source 2 to improve Counter-Strike 2’s user interface and overall graphics and surroundings. Also, the business disclosed that a comprehensive set of Source 2 tools and capabilities would be accessible to community map developers. In the latter part of this year, the Source 2 Item Workshop will be made accessible for testing.

It is anticipated that Counter-Strike 2, the official sequel to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, will be released around the summer of 2023. To provide gamers with their initial experience with the game, Valve is running a Limited Test.
