MLB The Show 23 has been available for all current consoles since yesterday. Sony San Diego has released a trailer for the launch that introduces us to the new features and the press release provides additional information:
The current offshoot of the popular baseball simulation builds on the series’ wellknown strengths while also offering a host of new features for baseball fans. This includes:
- Emerging Legends: Over 180 legends from every era of baseball, including Derek Jeter, David Wright, Mark McGwire and more join the highprofile roster of Hall of Famers and generational talent.
- Gameplay Updates: Numerous updates have been added, including more playerfriendly buttons and analog UIs; the redesigned pitcherbatter dynamics engine designed for competitive play and over 5,000 new gameplay animations.
- Face Recognition: Players can now scan their faces and use a compatible internetenabled mobile device and a compatible internetenabled console in MLB The Show 23 upload.
- Franchise Mode Improvements: Overhaul of the amateur scouting and signing system and other updates.
- Diamond Dynasty: themed teams with new captains, the return of the “Team Affinity” program with numerous Diamond rewards from all 30 clubs and much more.
