Domino’s pizza announced today that customers in the United States can now use Apple CarPlay to place orders for pickup of their pizzas. On the other hand, you won’t be able to freely select toppings while in the car because this functionality is only accessible for orders that have been preselected or recently placed.
To get started, download Domino’s app for the iPhone, open the app using CarPlay and select “Tap to Order” or “Call to Order” from the available options. The first choice allows you to either reorder a recent pizza or order one of the “Easy Orders” previously selected and saved in your Pizza Profile. You can also order over the phone using the “Call to Order” feature. In addition, the app allows you to view Domino’s locations nearby and monitor the progress of your order by using the Domino’s Tracker.
Customers who order their pizza through Apple CarPlay and use Domino’s Carside Delivery option can pick up their food without exiting their vehicles.
Domino’s asserts that it is the first major pizza chain to offer integration with Apple CarPlay as part of its efforts to be at the forefront of technological innovation.
