Blue Beetle – Official Trailer
What is the Plot of Blue Beetle?
The first official summary for Blue Beetle has been sent to us. Along with the initial trailer, it needs more clarity.
Jaime Reyes, who recently graduated from college, returns to his hometown full of hopes and dreams for the future, only to discover that his hometown has changed significantly since he left it. It says, “As Jaime searches for his place in the world, fate steps in when he unexpectedly finds himself in possession of an ancient artifact of alien biotechnology: the Scarab.”
“When the Scarab unexpectedly chooses Jaime to be its symbiotic host, he is bestowed with an incredible suit of armor capable of extraordinary and unpredictable powers. As a result, his destiny is irrevocably altered as he transforms into the superhero Blue Beetle.”
There have been other heroes who have taken up the identity of Blue Beetle before Reyes. In the comics, he is the third character to take up the mantle after the previous two characters.
Dan Garrett was the first character to don the Blue Beetle costume, appearing in comic books in 1939. After drinking Vitamin 2X, he gained the abilities of a superhero and became a law enforcement officer to battle crime. In a later version, released in 1964, Garrett was reimagined as an archaeologist whose superpowers were derived from an old Egyptian scarab conceptually similar to the Blue Beetle.
The Ted Kord model, released in 1966, was the second Blue Beetle. He had been Garrett’s pupil at one point. In 2006, Jaime Reyes became the third iteration of the character. In the comics, Ted Kord, a former member of the Blue Beetle, is the sister of Victoria Kord. In the comics, Ted was unable to make Garrett’s Scarab operate. Kord Industries is a manufacturer of alien-derived technology. Her persona was recently presented in the comic book Blue Beetle: Graduation Day #2 by DC Comics as the company’s CEO. We assume that in the film, she will do all her power to get her hands on the Scarab.
