The planned Japanese adult computer-animated action horror film Resident Evil: Death Island is an adaptation of the video game series in the same universe as the Resident Evil video games. Following the release of the film Resident Evil: Vendetta in 2017 and the miniseries Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness in 2021, this is the fifth installment of the animated Resident Evil series and the fourth feature in the franchise. It is anticipated to be released in July 2023.

What is the Plot of Resident Evil: Death Island?
As we continue to follow the exploits of D.S.O. agent Leon S. Kennedy and B.S.A.A. agent Chris Redfield, you should prepare for an exciting trip. Dr. Antonio Taylor has been held hostage, and Leon is on the hunt for the kidnappers who took him. Despite this, his aim is thwarted by a woman who remains a mystery. While everything is going on, Chris is in the thick of a zombie outbreak in San Francisco, and he has no idea what’s causing it. The fact that all of the infected sufferers had recently been to Alcatraz Island is the only thing that binds them together. Chris and his colleagues go to the island, hoping to discover some answers. But what they find there is worse than their worst imaginations could have imagined.
“D.S.O. agent Leon S. Kennedy is on a mission to rescue Dr. Antonio Taylor from his captors when he is thwarted in his pursuit by an unknown woman. During this time, a B.S.A.A. agent by the name of Chris Redfield is looking into a zombie outbreak that has occurred in San Francisco. The origin of the infection has not been determined. The fact that the victims had just been to Alcatraz Island is the only thing they have in common with one another. Chris and the rest of his squad follow that clue and end up on the island, where they find another terrifying surprise.
