Google is trying to build an AI-powered search engine, and according to The New York Times, the company is in the early stages of building a search service that will try to predict what you want from it in hopes of offering a “more personalized experience.” New AI features for its existing search engine codenamed “Magi”.

Among the features Google is developing is a chatbot that can answer software engineering questions and generate code snippets. The company has also been piloting a feature that lets people search for music through a chatbot conversation.

The company plans to bring Magi’s features to 1 million people in the United States before expanding availability to 30 million users later this year.
