What are believed to be Apple’s Beats Studio Buds+ appear to have been advertised on Amazon, allowing a closer look at new features and adjustments before they are formally unveiled. The earphones are listed with a release date of May 18 and a price of $169.95 on the product page.
Notably, the listing discloses that the Studio Buds+ will be available in a new transparent design option, similar to the earbuds sold under Nothing Ear. The item indicates that the earbuds will also be made available in black and ivory colors. The original Studio Buds were introduced in 2021, and the overall design of Studio Buds+ is identical to that of the original Studio Buds.
The Beats Studio Buds+ continue to be a more athletic option to the AirPods Pro, and they have a more compact design and are free of “stems” that hang down below the ears.
According to the listing, the Studio Buds+ will have up to 1.6 times more active noise cancellation and up to 2 times enhanced Transparency mode than the original Studio Buds. This is made possible by the headphones’ three times larger microphones and improvements to the air vents. They also have a longer battery life. The Studio Buds+ is claimed to have a battery life of up to 36 hours of listening time when used with the supplied USB-C charging case. This is in comparison to the original Studio Buds, which only had a battery life of 24 hours.
The water resistance of the Studio Buds+ is rated at an IPX4 level. They will be offered ear tip sizes of XS, S, M, and L to suit a larger variety of ears. The earbuds are compatible with devices made by Apple and Android. They offer features such as automatic switching between devices, support for Hey Siri, support for Find My, and pairing with only one button push.
The Beats Studio Buds+ were uncovered for the first time in the code for iOS 16.4 around a month ago, and then they turned up again in FCC filings about a week ago. It is unknown when Apple will announce the earbuds. Still, the product will be available the following month.
