The next big hero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is also a superpower. She can’t shoot laser beams from her eyes, make loud booms with her mind, or chase bad guys across the multiverse. Instead, the hero is Maya Lopez/Echo, a Native American woman who learns from the crime boss Kingpin how to become the leader of the New York street gang Tracksuit Mafia, even though she is deaf and wears a mechanical leg.
Echo’s unique skill is recognizing people’s capacity for change. Maya, who is deaf, has honed her observation skills to the point where she can watch a martial arts move and replicate it instantly, making her a formidable fighter.
Most superheroes have many high-tech tools, but Maya’s skills are excellent because they aren’t digital. In the Disney+ show Hawkeye, where Echo is first seen, she fights Clint Barton and beats him. Maya tells the Avenger, who has hearing loss and wears a hearing aid, “You depend too much on technology.” You might be better off if you don’t have it.” At the end of the scene, Maya steps on Hawkeye’s hearing aid, which breaks.
Behind Maya Lopez’s tough exterior, she is unfortunate and wants revenge after her father was killed violently. The Disney+ show will probably show us a side of the MCU we haven’t seen much of before. As we learn more about the heroes who help people on the street, Echo will show us a new side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Here is all the information we have about Echo.

Echo Release Date?
Echo was supposed to come out in 2023, but rumors say it will not come out until 2024. We’ll have to wait and see what Disney and Marvel Studios say officially, but a confirmed release date has yet to be confirmed. There are still a lot of Marvel movies and shows coming out in 2023. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantum Mania and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 have already come out in theaters, but The Marvels, Secret Invasion, and Loki Season 2 have not.
Echo Invasion Trailer
At the D23 Expo in September 2022, Marvel Studios showed off a video for Echo, but the public has yet to see it. Echo’s great fighting skills, a group of Native Americans, and the return of Wilson Fisk/Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio), who is wearing an eyepatch, are all shown in the exclusive video. People who watched the Hawkeye show will remember that in the last episode, Maya shot Kingpin out of view after learning that Kingpin had tricked Hawkeye into killing her father.
The first official picture released by Marvel shows Echo (Alaqua Cox) in the back of a forklift, looking tired but determined, as if she just won a fight and is thinking about the next one. The picture shows Cox’s prosthetic right leg, making her even more badass than her heavily armed and armored superhero friends.
