Michael Douglas also reprised his role as Scott Lang. The movie featured Kathryn Newton as Cassie Lang in yet another recasting for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Kang the Conqueror, a new main antagonist in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, was portrayed by Jonathan Majors.
Although it was met with various reactions, Ant-Man 3 will nonetheless significantly impact the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The plot follows Ant-Man, Wasp, and the other primary characters as they attempt to escape the Quantum Realm, where they have found themselves stuck. During this time, they came face to face with Kang the Conqueror; however, Janet van Dyne was already familiar with him from her time spent imprisoned in that dimension before the events of Ant-Man and the Wasp. In addition, MODOK appears in Ant-Man 3, and Corey Stoll reprises his role as Darren Cross, albeit with an altered backstory for the antagonist. The Avengers: The Kang Dynasty events were largely built up by the Marvel Cinematic Universe film 2023, which included a post-credits scene that revealed the Council of Kangs.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (May 5, 2023)
With the release of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, the Guardians of the Galaxy were given one more assignment. James Gunn is responsible for writing and directing this installment once more. This storyline explores the origins of Rocket, among other things. The High Evolutionary is a notable Marvel Cinematic Universe antagonist. Adam Warlock delivers a tease from Vol. 2 for the first time. Even though the film ends Gunn’s tenure with Marvel, it does not in any way seal off the company’s cosmic aspect.

Kraven goes on the hunt for Spider-Man in this well-known comic book narrative. Even one of the film’s screenwriters predicted that Kraven would confront Spider-Man sometime during the movie. To this day, there has been no confirmation that Spider-Man will appear in Kraven the Hunter. Furthermore, there has yet to be any indication as to whether Tom Holland or another actor will assume the role of the web-slinger. As a result of the fact that Taylor-Johnson has also agreed to star in many films, this may mark the beginning of a prosperous future for the character in Sony’s Spider-Man world.
The Marvels (November 10, 2023)
When The Marvels is eventually released on November 10, 2023, audiences will, at long last, have the opportunity to watch another adventure starring Carol Danvers. Nia DaCosta (Candyman) will helm the camera for the follow-up film, and Megan McDonnell (WandaVision) will pen the script. Teyonah Parris will reprise her role as Monica Rambeau and Iman Vellani will reprise her role as Kamala Khan, also known as Ms. Marvel, in the upcoming episode of The Marvels. Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel will not be the only superhero in this episode. Nick Fury, played by Samuel L. Jackson, is also scheduled to make a comeback. At the same time, it has been established that Zawe Ashton will portray the film’s antagonist, Dar-Benn, and that Park Seo-Joon will also have an unknown role.
Through the post-credits scene of the sixth episode of Ms. Marvel, Marvel Studios immediately set the stage for the events of The Marvels. Captain Marvel and Ms. Marvel traded places in this scene due to Kamala’s mystery bracelet. The powers of Danvers, Rambeau, and Khan are seen to be intertwined in an official teaser trailer for The Marvels. This causes the three individuals to switch places anytime their respective superpowers are activated. The plot of Secret Invasion is expected to be referenced in some way in The Marvels, and the show may also feature appearances from many other prominent Marvel Cinematic Universe characters. The film will impact the events leading to Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.
