Ubisoft has announced plans to expand the team of developers currently engaged in the production of Assassin’s Creed.
During Tuesday’s earnings call for Ubisoft, CEO Yves Guillemot announced that the business would reorganize its workforce to add more people to the Assassin’s Creed team.
Guillemot says, “as part of our progressive reallocation of resources, we plan to increase the number of talents working on the Assassin’s Creed brand by an estimated forty percent over the course of the coming years.”
The corporation employs About two thousand programmers to work on the Assassin’s Creed series of video games. That is equivalent to 10% of Ubisoft’s total workforce of 20,000 people. This number has recently dropped as a result of the company’s restructuring and office closures that have taken place over the past few years.
If Assassin’s Creed were to add 40 percent more developers to its team, there would be approximately 2,800 people working on the franchise by itself. The company also develops video games such as Skull & Bones, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, The Crew Motorfest, and many more.
As far as the Assassin’s Creed franchise is concerned, Ubisoft claims that it is “all in” on the property and is currently working on six different Assassin’s Creed video games. The next game to be released will be Assassin’s Creed Mirage, which still does not have a specific release date.
