What was initially a simplistic racing action film has since grown into a vast series worth billions of dollars and features an ever-expanding world. To this day, there have been nine films in the Fast and Furious series, and ten, if you count, the spin-off film starring Hobbs and Shaw. The franchise is still ongoing, and there are no immediate plans to do so.

Vin Diesel as Dominic Toretto

The fact that the series’s protagonist will be back for the tenth installment of the tale should be no surprise to anyone. It’s intriguing to consider that Vin Diesel’s Dom Toretto, who has become a famous and well-known figure in the Fast and Furious franchise, didn’t become the series’ primary character until the fourth installment, which was titled, rather confusingly, Fast and Furious (2009). Dom was a minor character in the first film, released in 2001. He did not appear in the sequel, 2 Fast 2 Furious, or the third installment, The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. Regardless, Dom evolved from a lowly street racer and mechanic into a full-fledged over-the-top action hero for a specific cause, becoming the central character of the series in the process.

In 2001, Dom, his sister Mia Toretto, and his longtime lover Letty Ortiz were the three members of Dom’s small street racing team. Around this time, he made the acquaintance of Brian O’Conner (Paul Walker), an undercover officer who would become one of Dom’s closest friends throughout his life. In a sense, O’Conner became Dom’s entry point into a dangerous and exciting world filled with multinational robberies, drug trafficking organizations, and vengeful assassins. Dom undoubtedly believed he had encountered every crime before he met Cipher, a world-class hacker who blackmailed Dom, killed his ex-girlfriend Elena, and turned Dom’s long-lost brother Jakob against him and the gang. Cipher was Dom’s first encounter with a cybercriminal of this caliber. Cipher is still at large when F9 comes to a close, and it is up to Dom and his family to track her down and bring her to justice. Brian, Dom’s son, is being raised by Dom’s ex-wife Letty and Dom until he gets into trouble.

Michelle Rodriguez as Letty Ortiz

If Dominic Toretto is the king of the “Fast Saga,” then Letty Ortiz, played by Michelle Rodriguez, is unquestionably the queen of the franchise. Much like Dom, Letty has been a part of the franchise since its inception, but she did not appear in the subsequent two movies. The devastating news that Letty has passed away is revealed at the beginning of the fourth film in the Fast and Furious franchise. This was not the case when she was resurrected in Fast 5; during that time, she suffered from amnesia, and until she regained her memory, she considered Dom and her companions to be her adversaries. Since she was reunited with Dom, Letty has been by her true love’s side during every one of their adventures. After Dom and Elena’s son were rescued from Cipher, Letty has even been assisting Dom with raising their son.

Jordana Brewster as Mia Toretto

Mia Toretto, played by Jordana Brewster, has been a part of the series for the same time as Dom and Letty, even though her name may not be as well known. Mia possesses the same gearhead smarts as the rest of the family, so she will always be just a bit behind Dom wherever he travels. This became very clear when Mia finally met Brian O’Conner, and the two had an immediate connection to one another. She and Brian became inseparable almost immediately, even having two children together, which brought the Toretto family to a significantly larger size. Mia did not appear in The Fate of the Furious since she was absent during her brief break, during which she likely spent time with her family. Despite this, she did return for F9, and she’ll also be taking part in Fast X.

Even though Paul Walker lost away in a sad accident before the release of Furious 7, the character of Brian O’Conner is still alive in the franchise’s universe, enjoying a happy retired life and visiting Dom and the family for their regular get-togethers. This is an appropriate time to mention this, as the present moment is the perfect opportunity.

Tyrese Gibson as Roman Pearce

Even a series as silly as The Fast has its comedic relief character. Tyrese Gibson does an excellent job playing Roman Pearce, which is exactly what the position calls for. Roman debuted in the film 2 Fast 2 Furious, where he participated in a covert operation alongside his lifelong friend Brian O’Conner. Roman would not return to the team until years later for the film Fast 5 when Dom and Brian recruit him for a job. Since then, Roman has been a member of the crew. Roman, in contrast to Tej, his best friend and the person he confides in the most, is irresponsible, careless, and not the brightest tool in the shed. Despite this, his magnetic personality and remarkable knack for making his comrades laugh make him an extremely important addition to the family.

Ludacris as Tej Parker

Ludacris has been a part of the show for the same time as Tyrese Gibson. Tej, the protagonist, has appeared in every movie Roman has directed. Tej first appeared in the film 2 Fast 2 Furious, where he served as a race official for events in which Brian and Roman were competitors. Like Roman, Tej was invited to join Dom’s group for their major robbery in the movie Fast 5.

In every manner imaginable, he is the complete antithesis of Roman. Even now, he occasionally displays his charisma and sense of humor. However, his primary function within the team is that of the group’s intellectual leader, both in the engine compartment of a muscle car and at the keyboard of a computer. These two have a long history of doing insane things together, one of which is traveling to space. It is still being determined what Tej and Roman will get up to next, although it will take a lot of work to top the time when they traveled to space in F9.

Sung Kang as Han Seoul-Oh

It is difficult enough for any character to pass away in this series, and it is just as difficult for individuals who have previously died to remain dead. Han Seoul-Oh is played by Sung Kang, whose character is named after a famous scoundrel from the science fiction genre. This is even funny, given that Kang has lately joined the Star Wars universe as Obi-Wan Kenobi. How Han joins the Star Wars saga is a touch more peculiar. We first saw him as a key character in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. However, we learn later that the events of that film took place after those of Fast & Furious 6, even though it was the third film in the series. In the order of events, Han first appeared in Fast and Furious as another member of Dom’s crew. He became a fan favorite almost immediately, but he eventually left the team and moved to Tokyo after the passing of his fiancée, Gisele (Gal Gadot). After arriving at the location, he was probably killed in an explosion caused by Deckard Shaw, an assassin with a grudge.

The death of Han, which takes place after the events of the fourth, fifth, and sixth movies, served as the impetus for the “Justice for Han” social media campaign, which demanded that the character be brought back. Their wishes were met in episode F9, as Han eventually made his return and admitted that he faked his death after a meeting with Mr. Nobody (Kurt Russell), the operative shadow boss. The final time we see Han, he pays Deckard Shaw a visit after assisting Dom and the rest of the gang.

Nathalie Emmanuel as Ramsey

Tej may have the most experience and knowledge of the bunch. Still, Ramsey gave him a run for his money when she made her debut in the film Furious 7, where former Game of Thrones portrayed her cast member Nathalie Emmanuel. Ramsey was a new member of the team at the time.

Ramsey’s ingenuity as a hacker is demonstrated by her development of the program “God’s Eye,” which can break into nearly anything that emits an electrical pulse. After the crew helps Ramsey out in Furious 7, she is elevated to a full-fledged member of the organization. However, she now plays a more subdued and secondary part in the broader narrative of the franchise (although in terms of hacking skill, she is arguably the only one who can legitimately compete with Cipher). This is because she has taken a more quiet approach. Both Roman and Tej have expressed romantic interest in her. Still, she has stated that she will only date one of them if they are the first to identify her surname correctly. More information may be found in our interview with Emmanuel, which can be found here.

Charlize Theron as Cipher

As a result of her participation in the film Mad Max: Fury Road, Charlize Theron most likely has some experience driving. Despite this, she’s taken on a more dictatorial position as the series’s main antagonist. Cipher is the epitome of the “big bad” that lurks in the shadows of every major blockbuster film, and he is always the one who orchestrates everything from there. At this moment, neither who Cipher is nor the reasons behind her nefarious deeds are known. However, it is abundantly evident that she is a cyberterrorist with enormous reach and power.

She is a full-fledged anarchist who desires the world to descend into total and utter anarchy. She has even gone so far as to blackmail and manipulate Dom by kidnapping his young son and killing the boy’s mother. Cipher takes her vendetta against Dom to a new level by turning Jakob Toretto against Dom’s family. This may be a personal vendetta or may have been motivated by practical considerations. Her cunning is an effective barrier against the raw force employed by the Fast Family. Despite this, she finds herself without a team in Fast X, which forces her to seek assistance from Dom and his family unwillingly.

Scott Eastwood as Little Nobody

Dom and the rest of the team receive a significant amount of assistance from a shadow operative known only as Mr. Nobody during the final few episodes of the series. Mr. Nobody’s identity and the nearly limitless resources at his disposal are both shrouded in mystery. In Fast X, an up-and-comer might take up the mantle of leadership.

The character of Little Nobody, originally portrayed by Scott Eastwood, debuted in the film The Fate of the Furious. In that film, he was introduced as an experienced assistant to his boss, Mr. Nobody. It won’t work in a brand like this for him to depict himself as a boy scout who follows the rules to the letter. Because he will be appearing in Fast X and Mr. Nobody is said to have died in the plane disaster that occurred in F9, Little Nobody may have taken over the role of Mr. Nobody.

Rita Moreno as Abuelita Toretto

The first new face to join the series is none other than a member of the entertainment industry’s royal family: EGOT winner Rita Moreno. At 90, Moreno shows no indications of abandoning her acting career. Suppose Dom Toretto’s preference for talking about his family is any clue. In that case, this must suggest that Moreno’s character is the individual he most admires. She will be portraying the role of the family’s grandmother, who is said to be an important figure in the lives of him and his brothers. It’s exciting to see such a well-known performer becoming a part of such a large brand, but for now, all we can do is wait and see how active of a part she’ll play.

Jason Momoa as Dante

The addition of Jason Momoa (Aquaman), appearing in the upcoming installment of the Fast film series, is undoubtedly one of the most inspiring casting choices the franchise has ever made. The star of the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) has revealed that he will play the role of Dante in Fast X. Dante will be Cipher’s ally in the film. Dante, the jaded son of cocaine kingpin Hernan Reyes (Joaquim de Almeida), is now seeking vengeance for his father after he was killed by Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) in Fast Five. Dante is the son of Hernan Reyes. Joaquim de Almeida plays Hernan Reyes. As a result of his roles as Khal Drogo in “Game of Thrones” and Aquaman in “Justice League,” Momoa is one of the most well-known actors in the business. He rose to prominence after becoming widely known for his work in “Game of Thrones.” We do not doubt that Momoa will bring his A-game to whatever role he plays because he always does.

John Cena as Jakob Toretto

In the ninth installment of the Fast and Furious franchise, F9: The Fast Saga, John Cena debuted as Jakob, Dom and Mia’s long-lost brother. Jakob had previously worked as an agent for Mr. Nobody. Still, he eventually turned bad, joined up with Cipher, and set out to exact revenge on Dom. After the events of the ninth film, he made peace with Dom and is currently on the run; however, judging on the trailer for the tenth film, it appears that Jakob will now be working with his brother and sister.

Helen Mirren as Queenie Shaw

Helen Mirren, who has previously appeared in The Fate of the Furious, Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, and F9: The Fast Saga, will be participating in the Fast & Furious franchise again for the fourth time. She is a female militia leader, in addition to being the mother of the Shaw children.

Jason Statham as Deckard Shaw

After making his Fast debut in the post-credits scene of Fast & Furious 6, presumably killing off the fan-favorite character Han, serving as the villain in Furious 7, becoming part of the family in The Fate of the Furious, getting his spin-off in Hobbs & Shaw, and making an appearance in the post-credits scene of F9, Jason Statham is back as Deckard Shaw and will be rejoining Dom’s crew once more. Taking this into consideration, his interactions with Han are going to be fascinating.

Brie Larson as Tess

Brie Larson is the most recent Academy Award–winning actress to join the Fast & Furious franchise, following in the footsteps of Charlize Theron, Rita Moreno, and Helen Mirren. Tess is a renegade agent from the Agency. Brie Larson will play her in the upcoming film Fast X. She appears to side with Dom and his family after they disagree with the new head of the Agency. Additionally, there is some evidence to suggest that she is the daughter of Mr. Nobody.

Alan Ritchson as Agent Rimes

The additions of Jack Reacher and Alan Ritchson will soon augment the already stellar cast of Fast X. Ritchson is cast in the role of Agent Rimes, who will succeed Mr. Nobody as the director of the Agency. In contrast to Mr. Nobody, Rimes has a challenging time getting along with Dom and his gang, leading to even more trouble in the future.

Daniela Melchior as Isabela Neves

In the tenth chapter of the Fast and the Furious franchise, breakout sensation Daniela Melchior from The Suicide Squad will join the cast of the high-speed world of Fast and Furious. Isabela Neves, played by Melchior, is the younger sister of Elena Neves, who was Dom’s ex-girlfriend and the mother of his baby before she passed away.

Leo Abelo Perry as Brian Toretto

Leo Abelo Perry is another new cast member. Still, he will play a character that audiences are already familiar with. Brian, the son of Dom and Elena, initially appeared in The Fate of the Furious as a newborn who was being held hostage by Cipher. Leo Abelo Perry will play the role of Brian. After Cipher’s murder of Elena, he moved in with Dom and Letty.

Pete Davidson as Bowie

In one episode of the popular Peacock series Bupkis, which is a satirical take on the life of Pete Davidson, Davidson is forced to do a favor for Vin Diesel for him to be considered for a role in the upcoming installment of the Fast and Furious film franchise. Even though the show is completely made up (and even features Davidson and his friends engaging in their version of a Fast and Furious-style chase), the Saturday Night Live star has managed to work his way into Fast X.

Hacker Bowie, who has a history with Ramsey’s character, is the role that Davidson plays in the show. Bowie and his associates use an internet cafe as a front for the malicious hacking activities that they engage in.

Gal Gadot as Gisele Yashar

Gal Gadot was a part of the Fast and the Furious franchise for a significant amount of time before she became a well-known face due to her starring role in Wonder Woman. Even though her character Gisele appeared to pass away at the end of Fast & Furious 6, just like her romantic partner Han, she is, by some miracle, still alive and doing OK.

Before becoming an operative for the cartel, Gisele served for some time as a member of the Israeli Intelligence Service. After Dom saves her life, she decides to give up her life of crime and join the Agency after Mr. Nobody recruits her for the position. It didn’t take long for Gisele to develop a relationship with Han, and she quickly went to great lengths for him, even ostensibly sacrificing herself to protect him from harm. On the other hand, it is evident from her brief cameo in Fast X that she is still alive and doing well. It is only a matter of time until we find out how Han will respond to the news that she has survived.

Dwayne Johnson as Luke Hobbs

This is not a typo, I promise you. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is, in fact, in Fast X, returning to his beloved role of Luke Hobbs. This comes even though he has been engaged in a long-running rivalry with Vin Diesel, and various people have claimed he is finished with the primary series.

Hobbs first appeared in the Fast and the Furious franchise in Fast 5, when he was depicted as a skilled and brutal lawman sent in to stop Dom and his squad. After some time, Hobbs begins to regard Dom’s family as a less dangerous threat to the world than other potential catastrophes and reluctantly joins their cause. After the rumored turmoil between Johnson and the rest of the main cast in F9, Hobbs has since appeared in every franchise installment except for F9. That being said, he is the first and only character in the Fast and Furious universe to earn his own spin-off feature set in the same world as Hobbs & Shaw.

Hobbs makes brief phone contact with Dante before offering a wink and a smile to the camera during his appearance in Fast X. This action makes it abundantly evident that he will return in either a subsequent installment of Hobbs & Shaw or the impending eleventh installment of the main Fast film series.
