The prolific dataminer and information disseminator @billbil_kun has disclosed that the first WRC game produced by Codemasters and published by EA will be available in July.
Billbil_kun, who had previously disclosed that WRC would have 26 milestones, stated that the game will be released on July 28, 2023.
The creation of WRC 23 was rumored to have begun in September of 2023, and we reported that the game would allow you to create your rally car.
Early gameplay footage of WRC 23, provided to Insider Gaming under the condition that the material would not be published publicly or privately and that the sources would stay unknown, reveals that the game features sixteen distinct car classes for players to choose from. Players can customize virtually every aspect of their vehicles, including the drive chain, engine, differential, gearbox, clutch, radiator, suspension, brakes, and exhaust systems.
WRC is said to have been constructed on the foundations of the canceled DiRT title that was supposed to release sometime in 2023 to save time and money based on the similarities between both games. This information was provided to Insider Gaming by various sources.
It is unknown when the WRC 23 will be officially disclosed, although material that has been datamined typically suggests that an announcement is likely on the horizon.
A new license between EA and WRC was signed in 2020 and will run from 2023 until 2027. GI.biz initially broke this news. As part of the agreement, the studio will also be able to publish new games and continue to host existing esports competitions.
