On the Twitter feed for the video game Cyberpunk 2077, an image was just uploaded to promote an event known as the “Phantom Liberty Tour,” a world tour. The Phantom Liberty Tour is billed as a “series of events worldwide dedicated to showing the expansion to our community” and is scheduled to begin in June.

The visuals indicate that there will be eight events, each occurring in a different part of the world; however, the specifics of these events have yet to be discovered. Is the Phantom Liberty Tour merely a video presentation, or will participants get to play the game? It could refer to anything at all.

What Exactly Is This Mysterious Phantom Liberty Tour?

CD Projekt responded to a request for additional information with the statement, “We’ll share more information soon!” Phantom Liberty is one of the most widely awaited additions to be released in recent years. This is because it is the first and last expansion for the Rags-to-riches storyline in Cyberpunk 2077. Even though it does not yet have a release date, all details are anticipated to become evident in the coming days.

Recently, it was speculated that the expansion could debut “as early as June 8th.” Still, considering the launch of the Phantom Liberty Tour, that seems exceedingly doubtful. Instead, the expansion will likely release. Unfortunately, in the extensive operational roadmap that CD Projekt revealed the previous year, the only information provided for the Cyberpunk 2077 launch timeframe was 2023.

The Phantom Liberty Tour will make stops in the following cities during June:

  • London, England
  • Sao Paulo, Brazil
  • Paris, France
  • Seoul, South Korea
  • Beijing, China
  • Tokyo, Japan
  • Cologne, Germany,
  • Warsaw, Poland

It is baffling that none of the cities in North America or Oceania, including Sydney and Melbourne, made the cut, and the reasons behind this still need to be understood.

Phantom Liberty may serve as a “soft re-launch” for the Cyberpunk 2077 franchise. The expansion has been under development at CD Projekt for a considerable amount of time, and it features a cast that includes the participation of Idris Elba, so there will undoubtedly be a great deal of talent on display.

We will provide additional confirmation as soon as CD Projekt makes it public.
