Does Elemental Have a Trailer?
Dreamy, sweet, and silly, the Elemental teaser trailer introduces viewers to the four different kinds of residents that reside in Element City, along with its two main characters, Ember and Wade. Puffs of air, lumps of land, drops of water, and fiery flames board a bustling train in the minute-long preview that also introduces some of the physics of this new universe. The air beings can float and even sit upside-down on the train’s ceiling. A water-being drops her lipstick when the train hits a bump, and the product lands inside her, floating around her head. She may need to visit the filter station that the train passes by to get it removed. Land-being smiles at the newly sprouted grass atop his head, and Ember is injured when Wade accidentally drips water onto her hand.
On March 28, 2023, Pixar put the full official trailer for Elemental on their website. In the trailer, we see how Ember and Wade interact with their parents and how they introduce each other to their families. This gives us a much better idea of how the movie will go. The trailer also shows how they move around Element City in a more stylized way than we’re used to seeing from Pixar.
Pixar put out a “Living the Dream” clip where we meet Fern. The short clip shows how Ember and Wade interact as they play off Fern, who is dull.
In the second clip, Wade talks to Ember’s dad. We understand why water and fire don’t go together. Wade tries to fit in with the Fire people, but things don’t always go as planned.
Will Elemental Be in Theaters?
Elemental, like Lightyear, will be exclusively shown in movie theaters. Previously, Disney offered the option to watch movies early through Disney+ Premiere Access for an extra $30 per movie in addition to the monthly subscription fee. However, as more movies are returning to theaters, Disney has discontinued the option to stream movies directly.
Will You Be Able to Stream Elemental?
Once Elemental is available for streaming, it will most likely only be accessible on Disney+. Typically, the studio allows its feature films to run in cinemas for 45 to 90 days before making them available for purchase or online viewing.
What Is the Plot Elemental?
The official film synopsis is as follows:
“The film journeys alongside an unlikely pair, Ember and Wade, in a city where fire-, water-, land- and air-residents live together. The fiery young woman and the go-with-the-flow guy are about to discover something elemental: how much they actually have in common.”
Ember and Wade live in a busy city on a bridge-connected bay. Many people live in tall buildings that were designed for their climates. The earth-beings’ homes are full of lush greenery, where they grow and care for their sprouts. The water beings get around on water slides, and windmills power the air beings’ houses. However, on the other side of the bridge, it looks like the fire-beings live in small, cozy buildings with short chimneys. Why don’t fire beings live with other beings? MaybTop the air beings from vanishing, the land beings’ many trees and plants from catching fire, or the water beings from putting out their fires by accident. We can see how the movie might go by seeing how the different parts fit together in the trailer. When a water-being sneezes, grass grows on a land being. An air-being is excited to smell the flowers growing from a land-being’s armpit, but a land-being with a wooden nose pulls her child away from the burning Ember as she walks by. In the same way, a part of an air being’s head disappears when she walks by and reappears after she leaves. When Wade tries to help Ember pick up her dropped headphones and water drips from his hand, her hand sizzles, and she says, “Ow.” Ember is the only fire-being on the train, and it looks like she is wearing a coat that can withstand heat. This could be because she has much heat and needs to keep it from spreading to other people in Element City. The movie’s plot is about how hard it is for Ember to get around the city and meet new people.
When the two main characters first meet, the screen displays the phrase “opposites react,” which alludes to the popular saying “opposites attract.” This has led some viewers to speculate if the two characters will have a romantic storyline and if the taller character will develop feelings for their new companion. Whether or not they become romantically involved remains to be seen, but viewers can expect the duo to work together to impact their city positively.
Who is Making Elemental?
The next Disney-Pixar movie will be directed by Peter Sohn, who has worked at Pixar Studios since 2000. Even though this is his first time directing, he has worked in the art department of well-known movies like Finding Nemo and The Incredibles and has done voiceover work for Lightyear and Luca. Pete Doctor, who is best known for writing popular movies like Inside Out, Up, Soul, and Wall-E, is the movie’s executive producer. Denise Ream is in charge of making the movie. She has worked on Up, Cars 2, and Toy Story 4. Fans of these movies can’t wait to see how the producers will change the Elemental screenplay by Brenda Hsueh. Hsueh has written and produced comedies for adults like “How I Met Your Mother” and worked with the director of “Turning Red,” a powerful Disney Pixar film about growing up, Domee Shi.
