“Ahsoka” Sets Late Summer Release Date on Disney+

When Ahsoka comes to Disney+ on August 23, you can return to a faraway galaxy. In a new adventure that will continue the story of a fan-favorite animated series, Rosario Dawson will play the same character she has in other projects set in the franchise. During last month’s Star Wars Celebration, the first trailer for the project came out, giving people their first look at the much-anticipated show.

Ahsoka was first seen in the animated series Clone Wars, where she was Anakin Skywalker’s (Matt Lanter) new padawan. Ashley Eckstein did her voice. Over time, the young apprentice grew up and became a strong hero who didn’t follow the Jedi’s ideals because of the corruption that led to their fall. Her skills kept her safe from the Jedi Purge, and she could hide from the stormtroopers and Darth Vader long enough to make it through the Battle of Yavin. When Disney+ permitted Lucasfilm to make Star Wars T.V. shows, it was time for the character to return.

Dawson played the role for the first time in the second season of The Mandalorian when she met Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal), who was looking for a Jedi to teach his baby. She used her abilities to look into the baby’s mind and see what he remembered. She found out that his real name was Grogu in this way. After this, the Mandalorian warrior and the former Jedi would become friends, and they would always be able to count on each other when they were in danger. And since they’ve both met Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) before, they could work together to save the galaxy if a big threat tried to take it over.
