The Apex Legends Season Arsenal has been going on for over a month, but there are still very few collecting events, heirlooms, or prestige skins to be found. On the other hand, that is about to change very soon. Apex Legends will finally get its first collection event on June 20. The event, “Dressed to Kill,” will introduce new cosmetics to the game.

Around much speculation and suspense, we now know that the prestige skin for this season will be themed around the well-known legend Valkyrie. Sources have revealed that the skin will have a Gundam motif and feature multiple mech components spread throughout its three tiers. Players can acquire these components by inflicting damage on other players. This information is consistent with data that were datamined and referred to Season 17 as “OPMECH.” It is also important to note that Valkyrie’s father was the infamous Viper Antonigst from Titanfall 2 and that her armor is a modified version of that titan’s original design. Valkyrie’s heritage is something that should be noticed.

Surprisingly, Respawn has decided to bestow one-of-a-kind dive trails on all Prestige Skins that can be purchased for 160 dollars each. This decision caught everyone off guard, given that players who had previously achieved high places in ranked splits were the only ones who could access dive trails.

Another interesting development is the impending release of an heirloom for Horizon, which you can read everything about here! Even though we have seen datamined animations of her using a two-handed weapon in the past, we now know that the weapon resembles a Morningstar with a black hole theme. This complements both this mythology and her skills. The fact that it’s called “Gravity Maw” or something quite similar is the only additional information we have about it.

Identifying the item that will be used to commemorate each occasion is the final step in solving the problem. We have “Dressed to Kill” scheduled for the 20th of June, and “OP Neon” is scheduled for the end of July. There have been contradictory claims from insiders over which one would be released first, but one thing is certain: players can anticipate the release of these two new cosmetics during this season!
