A Development Diary for Assassin's Creed Mirage Has Been Leaked Online Hours Before The Game's Release_

On June 7th, the Assassin’s Creed channel issued a message on Twitter announcing the impending delivery of three exclusive videos that would offer secrets and insights from the creation of Assassin’s Creed Mirage.’ These films were scheduled to be released on June 14th.

The first of those ‘dev diaries,’ titled “A Return to the Roots,” is scheduled to be made available for download today. Despite this, an unauthorized copy of that journal has been making the rounds on the internet over the past few hours. We are given a unique, behind-the-scenes look at Assassin’s Creed Mirage in the nearly six-minute footage, and the devs explain how they have returned to what made the series so successful.

“Pay Homage To The Beginnings of Assassin’s Creed”

After playing a supporting part in Valhalla, Basim was featured in a film that was later discovered to have been stolen and posted online. In the movie, the makers of Mirage discussed the history of Basim and how he came to ‘earn’ his own game. Nevertheless, some discussions of technical subjects were included in the clip.

The brand-new parkour features included in Assassin’s Creed Mirage were the subject of the first topic covered in this video, which was organized into chapters. It was pointed out that Basim is far more nimble than some of the more modern assassins, such as Eivor, which results in parkour having a more natural feel and a faster tempo.

There was also a discussion of the new stealth mechanisms, which feature never-before-seen death animations that seem quite violent and throwbacks to classic Assassin’s Creed titles in the form of set-piece-focused assassinations. These details were revealed during the live-stream event. The creators have stated that artificial intelligence has been improved in terms of stealth mechanics, which will ultimately make them more realistic. This has been an issue with the franchise for a significant time.

As players travel throughout Baghdad, they will encounter various hubs containing contracts. These hubs will allow players to pick up contracts as they see fit, working with factions and friends to purge the city of evil wrongdoers. The possibilities are endless, and Ubisoft has gone to great lengths to ensure that this faithfully recreates what the game once was. One of the developers is heard saying in the video:

To pay respect to the history of Assassin’s Creed and its origins, we decided to revisit a location that is geographically close to its birthplace.

In closing, the devs discussed an upcoming visual filter that, when applied to the game, will make it appear more faithfully than ever before to earlier iterations of the Assassin’s Creed series.

The launch of Mirage is scheduled for the 12th of October, 2023.
