The 23rd episode of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Arc was genuinely thrilling, leaving fans in a state of pure excitement. And just when the adrenaline was starting to wear off, fans were bombarded with exhilarating news about the Burn the Witch #0.8 series.
A Long-Awaited Adaptation
Acclaimed by fans worldwide, this excellent spin-off film by Tite Kubo was initially released in 2020. However, the original one-shot of the series was never adapted.
But finally, the wait is over! Fans eagerly anticipated the original one-shot’s adaptation, and Kubo delivered the news in the most thrilling way possible.
Teaser Unveiled
Following the Japanese premiere of the 10th episode of the second part of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War The Separation arc, a teaser has been released for a new Burn The Witch anime adaptation.
The brief 30-second teaser introduces the main characters of the prequel: Noel Niihashi and her senior, Ninny Spangcole. It also provides narration about the Dark Dragons, who are formed by absorbing the negative emotions of humans.
Studio Colorido Returns
Many fans are delighted that Studio Colorido, the same studio behind the original series, will work on the prequel, as their style fits perfectly with the “Burn the Witch” series.
Burn the Witch #0.8 will be produced by the same staff members who worked on the previous Burn the Witch anime adaptations. The cast from the last adaptations will also return, unchanged.

A Unique Perspective
This spin-off series focuses on the soul-society of the West, which makes for an interesting setup. Every Bleach/Burn the Witch fan should watch it because the one-shot explains things that weren’t clarified in the other chapters or the anime.
For those who have never watched Burn the Witch, I would recommend waiting for this 0.8 series, then watching it first before the 2020 Burn the Witch. That way, you’ll be following the original chronological order of the story.
