Is There a Trailer for ‘The First Omen’?
There isn’t a trailer for The First Omen yet, and no one knows when one will come out. Most likely, we won’t get to see the movie for the first time until early 2024.
What Is ‘The First Omen’ Plot?
Officially, this is what 20th Century Studios says about The First Omen:
When a young American woman is sent to Rome to begin a life of service to the church, she encounters a darkness that causes her to question her own faith and uncovers a terrifying conspiracy that hopes to bring about the birth of evil incarnate.
The First Omen, as the name suggests, will take place before the 1976 movie The Omen, and Father Brennan will be in it. Pat Troughton, who played The Second Doctor on Doctor Who, played Father Brennan in the 1976 movie The Omen. Troughton was in his mid-50s at the time. This part is played by Ralph Ineson, who is in his 50s, in The First Omen. This suggests that the prequel may take place not long before The Omen.
Who Is Making ‘The First Omen’?
When a prequel to The Omen was first mentioned in 2016, it was said that Ben Jacoby (Bleed) would write the script and Antonio Campos (The Devil All the Time) was in talks to direct. Those plans did not work out, though.
Arkasha Stevenson will direct The First Omen instead, which will be her first time directing a full-length movie. Stevenson has directed episodes of Legion, Briarpatch, and Brand New Cherry, a very strange Netflix horror show. How it tastes The script for The First Omen was also written by Stevenson, but it’s not clear if it’s a completely new story or a rewrite of the one Jacoby wrote first.
Her writing partner Tim Smith helped her write the story for The First Omen. They also made the short film Pineapple together. Smith oversaw the making of the movie as well of course. Keith Thomas, who was in Firestarter, also helped write the story for the prequel.
The movie is being made by David S. Goyer (Hellraiser) and Keith Levine (The Night House). Smith, Whitney Brown (8-Bit Christmas), and Gracie Wheelan are the executive producers.
