    Game Update: Ark Survival Evolved Update 1.61 Patch Notes Details

    Ark Survival Evolved has been updated to version 1.61 by Studio Wildcard today. You can find the full patch notes here.

    The new update for Ark Survival Evolved was updated to version 1.61 by Studio Wildcard today. It implements a number of fixes and improvements to the game, including for the PC, Xbox One, and PS4 versions. You can find full details about this update, including the patch notes, below.

    Ark Survival Evolved Update 1.61 Patch Notes Notes

    Current PC version: v331.11 – 24/06/2021

    • Fixed some cases where the Explorer Notes were not unlocked correctly on the server (to get the first HLNA explorer note, make sure to hit the reset button in your options; note that you don’t unlock Explorer Notes until HLNA has all its rules completed).
    • Fixed a bug where the WorldBuffScalingEfficacy would break harvest rates quickly.
    • Occurrences of some Rockwell & Eden variant creatures on Aberration that were not native to the map (https://survivetheark.com/index.php?/forums/topic/617465-an-update-concerning-genesis-2-r-variants-on-Aberration/)
    • Enabled creature downloads on Aberration for Genesis Part 2 allowed creatures including Stryder, Maewing, Shadowmane, Noglin and some R variants.
    • Fixed multi-level design-related bugs such as holes, volumes and floating leaves.
    • Shadowmane baby food consumption has been reduced
    • Fixed a bug where sewing babies in baskets could be lost on server startup
    • Fixed cases where the “hacking” minigame could fail incorrectly when taming the Stryder, and also made it more reliable on all servers.

    • Fixed sources not spawning well on asteroids in the space biome
    • Hunt Missions now run on console servers and count towards mission requirements for Stryders and the Boss Fight
    • Fixed cryopod UI not displaying correctly
    • Fixed a mesh exploit
    • Fixed a bug in the edge case where feeding the Shadowmane would not result in an affinity gain
    • Fixed some exploits

    • Hover sail no longer drops into Zero G (Boost is always active)
    • Net ammunition loaded into a harpoon launcher can now be used underwater
    • Mantis now accepts Rhino horns to tame, with a lower affinity than Deathworm horns
    • Customized mantis food to keep him from starving when he gets rhino horns
    • Noglins can’t bond with babies anymore
    • Fixed a bug where Voidwyvrm didn’t gain bonus levels after taming
    • Fixed some VFX and SFX bugs with the Voidwyrm
    • Fixed some VFX and SFX bugs with the Stryder

    • TEK Explosive Arrow Damage reduced by 25%
    • TEK Explosive Arrow projectile speed reduced by 33%
    • Astrodelphis Lazer damage reduced by 33%
    • Astrodelphis Grenade Bomb projectile speed reduced by 50%
    • Astrodelphis Lazers will no longer damage targets when encumbered
    • Fixed a bug where the Astrodelphis baby got stuck in the mother while spawning
    • Fixed an issue where the Astrodelphis target missile would still deal damage to the riders even though it was targeting the creature
    • Note: We still plan to repeat the Astrodelphis balance.
    • Fixed multiple server and client stalls and crashes
    • Fixed some cases where creatures would not play the unconscious animation correctly when shot by a Net Ammo
    • Fixed a bug where the Genesis Part 1 Arrival Protocol mission would not start
    • Fixed some false mesh detection cases
    • Fixed a bug where the Hoversail or Hoverskiff would prevent asteroids from displaying
    • Fixed some exploits in missions that allowed you to keep the mission weapon longer than intended
    • I fixed a bug that allowed you to create loot caches that would expire in 10 seconds
    • I removed some invalid items from the Mission Loot & Supply Crate tables in Genesis Part 2
    • Updated some mission objective texts on Genesis Part 2
    • Updated descriptive text for items on Genesis Part 2
    • Fixed an issue where HLNA notes would not play when mounted
    • Shadowmane baby food consumption has been reduced
    • Fixed a bug where sewing babies in baskets could be lost on server startup
    • Fish Baskets no longer check for nearby enemy structures in PVE
    • All changes that were in previous server-only updates should now work in single-player, Non-Dedicated, and player-dedicated modes.
