10 Settings to Check Out on IPhone 14 Pro

The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max have started arriving at customers' doorsteps worldwide. For those who have upgraded to one of the devices, we've put together a list of 10 useful settings that are worth looking at below.

10 Settings IPhone 14

The upgraded rear camera system on the iPhone 14 Pro models can capture 48-megapixel images, but only when used in ProRAW mode, which can be turned on in the Settings app under Camera Formats Apple ProRAW with the resolution set to 48MP.

1-Enable 48MP ProRAW Photos

Videos shot in Cinematic mode can now be recorded in 4K on all four iPhone 14 models. Select 4K at 24 or 4K at 30 frames per second under Camera Record Cinematic in the Settings app to enable the higher resolution.

2-Enable 4K Cinematic Mode

New Action mode is available on all four iPhone 14 models, allowing for smoother-looking video by compensating for strong shakes, motion, and vibrations. Apple claims the function can record video while driving off-road, watching a runner, and more.

3-Optimize Action Mode for Lower Light

All iPhone 14 models now have an optional new accessibility feature that makes power-on and power-off sounds. The feature can be turned on in the Settings app under Accessibility Audio/Visual Power On & Off Sounds.

4-Turn On a Startup Sound

The new always-on display mode for the iPhone 14 Pro is turned on by default. Go to Display & Brightness Always On in the Settings app to disable it.

5-Turn Off the Always-On Display

The stock keyboard on the iPhone now has a new haptic feedback option, thanks to iOS 16. Like many Android smartphones, the iPhone has a vibrating key-press confirmation feature that lets you know when a key has actually been pressed.

6-Turn On Haptic Feedback for Keyboard

Viewing a battery percentage icon in the status bar on the newer iPhone X was finally restored in iOS 16, removing the need to swipe down to open Control Center to see the percentage.

7- Battery Percentage Icon to Status Bar

Siri typically requests confirmation before communicating with a person. However, iOS 16 now offers a new method to bypass the confirmation step. Select Siri & Search Automatically Send Messages in the Settings app to turn this on.

8-Automatically Send Messages With Siri

With iOS 16, you can say, "Hey Siri, hang up" during a phone call to end the ring hands-free, but note that the command can be heard by others on the call. This feature can be enabled under Siri & Search → Call Hang Up in the Settings app.

9-Ask Siri to Hang Up a Phone Call

You can finally view the password of a Wi-Fi network you have previously connected to on iOS 16. In the Settings app, tap Wi-Fi → tap a network → tap the password field and authenticate with Face ID to view the password.

10-View Wi-Fi Passwords
