A Redesigned Version of Apple Maps Is Currently Being Rolled Out in Taiwan

According to Apple Maps specialist Justin O'Beirne, the newly revamped version of the Maps app that Apple has been rolling out internationally since 2019 is now being tested in Taiwan.

This information was provided by Apple. The updated appearance is not yet accessible to all users of Apple Maps, and the company has not made an official announcement regarding its release.

The revised design displays landmarks and structures in 3D, while other locations, including green spaces, parks, trees, highways, and other areas, are displayed with greater detail and accuracy.

Users of Apple's iPhone, iPad, and Mac may now benefit from improved navigation, turn-by-turn walking directions with augmented reality, and an overall much more detailed and immersive Maps interface as a result of Apple's recent update to its mapping experience.

This design first went into production in September 2018 in Northern California, and by the beginning of 2019, it was available throughout the whole United States.

Since then, Apple has extended its availability to a wide variety of additional nations, the most recent of which are Finland, Norway, Sweden, Austria, Croatia, Czechia, Hungary, Poland, and Slovenia.
